StartPane Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between you and the operator of StartPane ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using our website and services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Accounts and Access

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a subscription. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Registration Data: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process (e.g., a valid email address).

2. Subscriptions and Billing

Payment Processing: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Stripe. Stripe provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns and cancellation requests.
Lifetime Plans: Plans designated as "Lifetime" grant access for the duration of the Service's existence (the "Service Lifetime"). We reserve the right to discontinue the Service or the Lifetime plan at any time. In the event we decide to sunset the Service, we will provide you with reasonable prior notice (e.g., 30 days) via email.
Auto-Renewal: Recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Price Changes: We may change our pricing fees at any time. We will provide you with reasonable prior notice of any price changes.
Refunds (UK Consumers): By purchasing a digital subscription, you expressly request that the service begins immediately. You acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal (the standard 14-day cooling-off period) once access to the digital content is provided. Exceptions are made only where required by law or at our sole discretion.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you must not:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or discover the source code of the Service.
Interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, or performance of the Service (e.g., denial of service attacks).
Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or fraudulent content.

4. Intellectual Property

Our IP: The Service, including its "look and feel" (e.g., text, graphics, images, logos), proprietary content, information and other materials, are protected under copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You agree that we own all right, title, and interest in and to the Service.
Your Content: You retain ownership of any data, files, or content you upload to the Service. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

5. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and title. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StartPane (and our service providers) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues.

In no event shall our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service exceed the greater of one hundred British Pounds (£100.00) or the amount you paid us, if any, in the last 12 months.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by deleting your account in the settings or contacting support.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
